Best of 2016 Photo Contest

By City Staff

The City of Sarnia and Tourism Sarnia-Lambton have partnered for the Best of 2016 Photo Contest. Locals are encouraged to submit their best Sarnia-Lambton photos of the year, from November 18-December 30, 2016 at www.tourismsarnialambton.com/photo-contest.

A local photography panel will narrow the submissions to 10 photos. The public will then vote for their favourite photos online from January 11-18, 2017. The 3 photos with the most votes win.

Prizes for the winning 3 photographs are:

  • 1st Place: Framed photo taken by Chris Hadfield
  • 2nd Place: 4 pairs of Sting Tickets for the Winter ’17 season
  • 3rd Place: $50 gift certificate to Bridges Restaurant

Winning photos will be featured in Tourism Sarnia-Lambton’s Navigate Guide and put on display at Sarnia City Hall.

Photo contest submission guidelines are available at www.tourismsarnialambton.com/photo-contest.

“The City of Sarnia is pleased to collaborate with Tourism Sarnia-Lambton on this fantastic project. As a city with many talented local photographers, we are excited for local people to share their work and showcase our beautiful city,” explains Margaret Misek-Evans, City Manager.

“We are looking forward to seeing all the wonderful pictures from the Best of 2016 Photo contest. It is always great seeing the different perspectives from around the community,” says Vicky Praill, Special Events & Sports Marketing Coordinator, Tourism Sarnia-Lambton.
