Public Meeting – Fluoride in Municipal Drinking Water

A Public Meeting to receive information and public input on the issue of water fluoridation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Council Chamber, Sarnia City Hall.

Council has invited Dr. Sudit Ranade, Lambton County’s Medical Officer of Health, and Dr. Hardy Limeback, former head of University of Toronto Preventive Dentistry and former president of the Canadian Association of Dental Research, to present information on the subject.

At the March 20, 2017 Council Meeting, Council resolved to hold a Public Meeting to receive information regarding the practice of adding fluoride to municipal drinking water.

If you wish to address Council at this meeting, please contact the City Clerk’s Department at 519-332-0330 ext. 3320 or by email to fluoride@sarnia.ca. Interested parties may make brief presentations to Council.

If you have written information that you would like Council to receive, please provide it to the City Clerk’s Department by email at fluoride@sarnia.ca, by fax to 519-332-3995, or by mail to 255 N. Christina Street, PO Box 3018, Sarnia, ON, N7T 7N2. Submissions on fluoride will be received by the Clerk’s Department until the close of business on June 2, 2017.
