COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS TO THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT
The City of Sarnia recognizes the depth, knowledge, capabilities and enthusiasm of our community members. The City has established boards and committees to advise staff and council and to help us in delivering projects that serve the community. Some boards and committees are also required to carry out statutory responsibilities. The City of Sarnia recognizes volunteers as an essential resource for the current and future development of our community.
The City of Sarnia is currently seeking applicants to fill one vacancy on the Committee of Adjustment.
The role of the Committee of Adjustment is to consider applications under the Planning Act for variances to the provisions of the Zoning By-Law as well as applications to sever property. The Committee meets every three weeks on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m.
Sarnia City Council will consider the appointment to the Committee of Adjustment at their July 31, 2017 meeting. The appointment is for the remainder of the 2014-2018 term of Council.
