Access to Rec on June 16

The City of Sarnia and Age-Friendly Sarnia will be hosting the inaugural Access to Rec on June 16.

Access to Rec is an all-ages, free event that showcases local recreation and leisure opportunities that are adaptive, inclusive and accessible. The event will be held on June 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Strangway Centre (260 East Street North, Sarnia, ON N7T 6X7).  

The event will include demonstrations, presentations, activities and information about social programming in Sarnia. Vendors are still welcome to register.

Fact: 58% of Age-Friendly Survey respondents stated they want more information about local activities and events that are inclusive and affordable in Sarnia.

“It is our goal to be a safe, healthy and accessible community; Access to Rec supports this effort and our commitment to accessibility,” explains Margaret Misek-Evans, Chief Administrative Officer.
