June Events in the City of Sarnia

The City of Sarnia hosts many events in its parks, arenas, streets, and other facilities. Local events help support two of the City’s strategic priorities: economic innovation, and high quality of life and caring for all citizens.

In an effort to share all the events occurring next month at City of Sarnia facilities, please see a list of June’s upcoming events, below.

Thursday, May 30 – Thursday, June 6, 2019

Poutine Feast - May 30 - June 1 from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and June 2 from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Centennial Park.

Gutsy Walk for Chron's and Colitis - June 2 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Canatara Park & Beach Pavilion.

YMCA – CHOK 42nd International Bridge Race - June 2. Various start times and locations. The event will end in Canatara Park, with a prize presentation at 9:30 a.m. by the Bandshell.

Beachside Pride - June 8 from 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. at Canatara Park.

Kids Funfest - June 8 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Clearwater Park.

Sarnia Senior’s Expo - June 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Sarnia Arena.

Friday, June 14 – Thursday, June 20, 2019

Refined Fool Block Party - June 14 from 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., June 15 from 12:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., and June 16 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the downtown Julia Street Parking Lot.

Relay for Life - June 14 from 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. at Clearwater Park.

Huron House Boys Home Father’s Day Run/Walk/Skate/Bike - June 16. Various start times beginning at 7:45 a.m. at Mike Weir Park and Old Lakeshore.

2019 Carpenters Provincial Apprenticeship Contest - June 17 - 21 at 8:00 a.m. in Canatara Park.

 

Friday, June 21 – Friday, June 28, 2018

Canada Day - Bright's Grove - June 22. Parade at 11:00 a.m. Welcome, entertainment, rides, and BBQ from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Licensed evening concert from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Cruise in the Park - June 23 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Canatara Park.

Sarnia Seniors Cruise and Lambton Elderly Outreach Event - June 24 at 9:00 a.m. (8:00 a.m. registration) on Duc d'Orleans at Bayshore Park along the Sarnia waterfront.

Battle of the Bands Youth Concert Event - June 28 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora.

Tuesday, June 4 - OPENING NIGHT featuring Scottish Night at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park. Rain Date is June 10.

Wednesday, June 5 - Big Highway at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Thursday, June 6 - Rockwork at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Friday, June 7 - Noise Pollution at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Tuesday, June 11 - Forest Excelsior Band at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Wednesday, June 12 - Seaway Sounds Sweet Adelines and Friends at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Thursday, June 13 - Madog Trio at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Friday, June 14 - Rebound Rocks at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Tuesday, June 18 - 4 Barrel Blues Band at 7:00 PM at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Wednesday, June 19 - The Casuals at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Thursday, June 20 - Relic at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Friday, June 21 - Get Out of the Garage Youth Series, performer TBA at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Tuesday, June 25 - El Camino at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park.

Wednesday, June 26 - Borderline Band at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Thursday, June 27 - Dynamic Duel at 7:00 p.m. at the Bandshell in Canatara Park.

Friday, June 28 - BATTLE OF THE BANDS Youth Concert Event at 7:00 p.m. at the Suncor Agora in Centennial Park, featuring Rebound Rocks, Noise Pollution, and more!
