Unveiling New Germain Park Signs

By City Staff

Date: October 17, 2016

From: Anne Marie Gillis, Councillor and Chair, Communities in Bloom Committee

The Sarnia Communities in Bloom Committee will be unveiling two new Germain Park signs at 3 p.m. on October 20, 2016.

As one of their major 2016 community projects, the Sarnia Communities in Bloom Committee fundraised for the replacement of two Germain Park signs which were showing their age and needed to be replaced.

The following signs have been newly replaced:

  • Germain Park sign above the arbour leading into the park from East St.
  • Germain Park sign located on East St. between the Strangway Centre and the fire hall

Local sign artist, Dave Beatty was contracted by the Communities in Bloom Committee to design and install the signs.

The unveiling will take place outside of Germain Park, at the East Street entrance. Light refreshments will be available, and the public is encouraged to attend and celebrate this accomplishment that our community will benefit from for years to come.
