2018 Municipal Election

sarnia votesThe 2018 municipal and school board election in the City of Sarnia will be held using internet and telephone voting only.

Voting will begin on Thursday, October 11 at 9:00 a.m. You can vote 24/7 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018. Eligible electors can vote using a telephone, computer, cell phone, iPad, tablet, or laptop. 

Voter information letters are scheduled to be mailed out on or before September 25, 2018.

If you are not on the Voters' List

If you are on the list, you should receive a Voter Notification Card in the mail by the end of September.

If you are not on the list, you must complete an Application to Amend the Voter’s List.

Visit the City Clerk's Office (2nd floor, City Hall) during regular hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for assistance.

EXTENDED HOURS: The City Clerk’s Office will be open 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 to provide additional assistance.

Visit a Voter Help Centre if you have not received your voter information letter (including PIN), if you do not have access to a device to vote online, or if you require assistance:

Election Workers

The City of Sarnia will be hiring approximately 65 election workers for the 2018 municipal election. Election workers will provide support at Voter Help Centres and will visit retirement residences and long-term care homes to provide devices and to assist voters.
