PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF SARNIA – 2019 OPERATING BUDGET
MUNICIPAL GRANT REQUESTS
All organizations that are requesting municipal grants from the City of Sarnia’s 2019 budget year are asked to complete the online Grant Application and provide the required information to the Finance Department by 4:30 pm, Friday, August 31, 2018.
All City of Sarnia grant requests must adhere to the Municipal Grants Policy. The Municipal Grant Application must be completed as part of the grant request. The Policy and Application are available by visiting https://finance.smartsarnia.com/municipal-grant-application/.
Any interested group who wishes to appear in person before council to discuss their grant request will be referred to the Public Input and Grant Session to be held November 19, 2018. Notice of this meeting will be published in October 2018.

PUBLIC NOTICE RE: NOTICE OF LANE CLOSURE AND SALE OF SURPLUS MUNICIPAL LAND
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Sarnia proposes, at its meeting to be held at City Hall on September 10th, 2018, to declare surplus and to consider a by-law to stop up, close and sell a portion of a 14’ laneway located between Collingwood Street and Gordon Street north of Nelson Street, as shown on the key map, and its subsequent sale to the adjacent property owners.

Public Information Sessions for the Municipal Election
The City of Sarnia is holding the following public information sessions regarding internet and telephone voting in the 2018 municipal election.

City of Sarnia Municipal and School Board Election
Residents of the City of Sarnia are hereby informed that a municipal and school board election will be held. The voting period will open at 9:00 a.m. on October 11 and close at 8:00 p.m. on October 22, 2018.
Eligible electors may vote by telephone or internet 24/7 during the voting period. Directions will be provided in your Voter Information Letter (VIL).
