Community Improvement Plans

The City has developed and implemented Community Improvement Plans for the waterfront and the older residential and commercial areas of the City. These Plans allow the City to provide financial incentive programs for rehabilitation and improvements to existing infrastructure and buildings, to purchase land and to permit the redevelopment of municipal sites within these areas. Community Improvement Plans have also been required in the past as a condition of eligibility for certain Federal and Provincial government financial assistance programs.
