Annual Accessibility Plans

City of Sarnia Accessibility Plans

The City of Sarnia has completed a Multiyear Accessibility Plan from 2017-2020. In order to ensure tasks outlined in the Multiyear Plan are being accomplished and to ensure new issues and opportunities are being addressed, City staff have completed an Annual Accessibility  Report. The Annual Report is designed to compliment the Multiyear Accessibility Plan by breaking down goals into action steps from year to year. The Annual  Reports are a continuation of what has previously been accomploshed in workplans and is implemented within the provisions mandated by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Intigrated Accessibility Standard Regulation (IASR), and tasks assigned by Sarnia City Council and the Sarnia Accessibility Advisory Cmmittee (SAAC). These tasks are intended to assist in accomplishing the goal of making the City of Sarnia an inclusive community where all programs, services, buildings and properties are accessible to people with disabilities.
