About Strangway Community Centre
The Strangway Centre is a City of Sarnia recreation facility that offers a variety of programming for adults ages 20+. You do not need to be a member to participate in our programs or utilize the great features our centre has to offer. Our memberships are available for individuals ages 50+ and allows for discounted fees on programs and activities.
We offer adult recreation/fitness programs, adult wellness, arts & culture, special interest courses & seminars, an in house café and a wood working shop (known as the Hobbyshop). Services include monthly hearing booth, diabetes clinic, and footcare clinic & services. There is rental space available, please inquire.
Our facility offers flexible times for room rentals. If you are looking to rent a room, please contact Shelley at 519-332-0656 or send us an email.
Membership is available to adults 50+. It is not necessary to be a member but it does save 15% on registered programs, $5 on day trips and 40% on daily activity tokens
2018 Membership prices
- 2018 Memberships are January-December (year): $50.50
- May-October (6 mo.): $32.50
- September-December (fall): $22.50
The Hobbyshop is available for use 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday (summer hours vary). A supervisor must be present to use the Hobbyshop.
A Hobbyshop membership is separate from the Strangway Centre membership. A Hobbyshop membership gives you unlimited use of the Hobbyshop (during regularly scheduled hours)

Not interested in a membership? Pay per use: $5.00/ half day, $10.00 full day
Open to the public Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Soup, sandwiches (warm & cold), muffins, desserts and daily specials offered. Prepared by centre volunteers.
The Strangway Centre Advisory and Auxiliary Committees meet regularly and are always looking for new members. Please contact Strangway office for more information.
